We had a Family Wellness Retreat this weekend at the Wyndham. It was a nice weekend getaway for all of us. I was resistant at first because I've had so many things on my mind lately and so many deadlines to meet this month. Im continuing to prepare for the move, backed up on three computer repairs, and trying to finish photoshoping some wedding pictures, and preparing for the baby's arrival who still doesnt have a name. Yes, I have to go back to living in the darn city again. I guess I spoke too soon with a previous blog. Jenna called me from Washington today and started describing the scenery in what I am guessing was Gig Harbor. She said there were squirrels the size of cats and giant trees outside her parents house. All of a sudden I started thinking that I wouldn't mind living in a place that green and full of trees. Anyway our weekend went good. I enjoyed our breakfast conversation with Chaplain Blundell and his wife. Something interesting that Chaplain Lang said in one of the classes caught my attention and continues to stick with me. He said he believes in the biblical seven years and that every seven years you have an opportunity to reset your life. Consequently Fernie and I have been married for seven years and too many things have been happening lately that indicate that we are in for a turning of the tide. It makes me optimistic considering all we have been through together.
Here's some pics of the Wyndham, no sorry I didnt include a picture of the anatomically correct horse statue in front of the hotel. If you dont know what Im talking about then next time you're in El Paso go to the airport and stop at the giant "Traveler" statue and stand underneath it and look up! Ha hahahaha.........
